The 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair is poised to mark its sixth edition on African soil, scheduled from January 30th to February 2nd, 2025, in the vibrant city of Marrakech, Morocco. This significant event in the art world promises a rich tapestry of African art, featuring curated exhibitions, engaging events, and strategic partnerships. The fair will unfold at the iconic La Mamounia Hotel and the dynamic art space DaDa, offering a perfect backdrop for this cultural celebration.

Touria El Glaoui, the visionary Founding Director of 1-54, shared her excitement about this year's edition, highlighting, “This year’s fair welcomes an exciting array of exhibitors, including notable newcomers from further afield such as space Un from Tokyo and Hunna Art from Kuwait.”

The 2025 edition is set to present a diverse spectrum of artistic expressions, uniting 30 exhibitors from 14 countries. Notably, 14 galleries will represent Africa, with 10 based in Morocco, underscoring the continent's vibrant art scene.

Among the new participants are C+N Gallery CANEPANERI from Milan, Space Un from Tokyo, GALERIE FARAH FAKHRI from Abidjan, Gallery Nosco from Brussels, Hunna Art from Kuwait, Loeve&Co from Paris, Ross-Sutton Gallery from NYC/Stockholm, The African Art Hub from London, Le Violon Bleu Gallery from Tunisia, and Abla Ababou Galerie from Rabat.

El Glaoui further emphasized, “With a robust program of Special Projects and collaborations with local and international institutions, 1-54 Marrakech offers an unparalleled opportunity to engage with Morocco’s vibrant cultural landscape and connect with the wider global art community.”
